Cookie policy

A clear explanation of cookies and similar technologies used on the Pentesys website.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on a device by a website. Similar browser technologies can remember a preference, maintain a secure session or help a site operate correctly.

Cookies, analytics and local storage used by this website

Google Tag Manager delivers Google Analytics only after the visitor accepts the Analytics category. PostHog follows the same Analytics consent choice. These services help Pentesys understand page journeys, calls to action and form progress. Form-field contents are not sent to analytics. PostHog session recording and IP-derived location enrichment are disabled, URL query strings are removed before events are sent, and identified visitor profiles remain disabled unless separately approved.

Apollo company-level website visitor tracking can load only after the visitor has explicitly accepted the Marketing category. Pentesys has not approved Apollo contact-level identification; any later change from company-only tracking requires a separate privacy review and updated consent wording.

After Analytics consent, the site uses session storage to retain campaign parameters and the first and latest campaign touch during the current browser session. This allows an accepted enquiry to retain its original acquisition source even if the visitor browses several pages first. The information expires with the browser session and is cleared if Analytics consent is withdrawn.

The site also uses limited browser storage to remember consent, the visitor’s chosen light or dark appearance and the date of the most recent homepage visit. The welcome animation is not repeated for 30 days after a visit unless the visitor deliberately opens the review mode. These preferences remain on the visitor’s device and are not used for cross-site tracking. Essential hosting and security technologies may also process limited technical information to deliver and protect the site.

Managing cookies

Use the Cookie settings link in the website footer to accept, reject or withdraw optional choices at any time. You can also use your browser settings to see, block or delete cookies. Blocking technology that is strictly necessary may affect how a website works.

Future changes

We will review this policy before the website enters production and whenever tracking technology changes. Questions can be sent to sales@pentesys.com.
