A finding is not a risk decision until it has been validated

Why evidence, reproducibility and business context are essential before teams commit remediation effort.

OUR POSITIONAutomated detection is a valuable hypothesis. Human validation determines whether the condition is real, reachable and consequential enough to change the remediation plan.

01

False confidence works both ways

False positives waste time, but false negatives and misunderstood context are more dangerous. Validation must confirm the condition, reproduce it safely and consider the controls and dependencies surrounding it.

02

Exploitability needs boundaries

Proof should be proportionate. A tester needs enough evidence to establish a credible attack path without creating unnecessary operational or data risk. Clear rules of engagement define that boundary.

03

Retesting protects the outcome

A configuration change may remove one symptom while leaving the root cause or an alternative path intact. Retesting checks the actual remediation and creates reliable closure evidence.
